Today we went to The Narrows. At the Narrows we were to do three activities; visit the nature center, go swimming, and to test the water in the river.
We split into groups and were able to choose the activities that we wanted to go to. My group went to the nature center first so that we could get it out of the way. It was a 1/2 mile hike there, and when we got there, we saw a few things. There were some cages that had raptors. Here's a picture that I took of a hawk:

After that we went inside the nature center where we saw a couple of snakes and turtles. Then we left to go to the swimming place.
We walked for about 1 1/4 mile to the place where we could go swimming. When we finally got to the place, it was super muddy to the point where it was hard to keep your balance and not slip and fall. Everyone jumped in from the rope swing and I was next. At first I was a little nervous because I knew that the water would be cold, from when I fell into the river the other day when we went kayaking.
I then jumped in and the water was pretty cold. I then swam around a bit and I got used to it. We then swam around for about 45-minutes, and then got out. When we got out we were pretty muddy. We then walked towards the water testing place, and we walked for about 25 mintutes and then realized that we had to be back at the parking lot for lunch. So we turned back around and went to eat lunch.
When we were done eating lunch, we only had about 45 minutes left, so we knew that we weren't going to make it to the water testing place. So we just went back swimming for a few minutes, and then went back to the bus. We were pretty muddy too, so it took a while to clean the mud off.
