Today was a really fun day.
We started the day off by learning and writing a haiga. A haiga is a type of poem that is similar to a haiku, but a little different in the way that its typically about nature. We were to choose a picture, it could be any nature picture, and then write a haiga about it. The haiga that I wrote was about a picture of a weed that I took yesterday. I actually really like the way that my poem turned out and the idea that I wrote about it, and it compliments my picture really well.
Then we prepared for our field trip to the Cox Arboretum. We reviewed the rules, and then we went to the bus. The bus ride there wasn't too long, and was pretty fun too. We then got to the park, and I was pretty surprised at how big the place was. I had expected it to look like Delco Park, but it was actually really cool looking. Once we set down all of our stuff, we got into groups and then set out.
Before we left to go to the park we were given a scavenger hunt, so the first place we went to was the edible garden. While we were going to the garden, we passed by some turtles that were sitting on a rock; my group named them Clifford and Richard.
After we left the edible garden, the next place listed on the scavenger hunt was to climb a tree tower.

We quickly got back down from the tower though because from the top of the tower we could feel it swaying, so we got scared and got back down.
After that we kind of gave up on the scavenger hunt, and just walked around, and had fun. Here's so more pictures that I took as we walked around.
I thnk that today was one of the most fun days. I really got to see all of the nature and see how great the experience can be if you just pay attention and really look at it.
