Day 7
Today we went to Delco Park. We walked there, and then we did a small activity about metaphors. After that stuff, we were free to do what...
This is the cloud, tall and fluffy. This is the umbrella that the rain drips off. It falls in the sewer old and rusty. This is the stream cold and moist that fills up the river. This is a fish hitting the water so scaly and hungry that swims in the river. This is the river slow and restless.
A simple weed,
Sitting by a lake,
Unwanted by the world,
but by the lake it has found,
that it can have a place.
The Full Story
The golden sun rises over the horizon. Its dominating glow highlights the water dew dripping off the grass, and the frost on the windows. Slowly the beams of light reach Richard, the farm dog, who had been peacefully sleeping on the porch.Â
As the light warms his body, he wakes up. As soon as he wakes he is driven by the instinct to go drink some water. He then runs around the farm and checks on all of the animals. He knows that this is his job, and he intends to do it properly. He goes out to the field where cows had been grazing. He finds that some of the cows had ventured too far to the fence bordering the road. Richard, runs over and barks at the cows. Yelling at them to get back where they should be. Compliant, the cows move back towards the barn. Richard, proud that he has once again done his job, runs around in excitement waiting for his owner to wake up.
